A prominent campaign site to launch an important initiative

We were commissioned to develop a rich and interactive microsite for Telefónica’s Think Big proposition

In collaboration with our good friends at SomeOne/Else, Byng delivered a parallax landing page aimed at generating interest in Think Big, a CSR initiative aimed at promoting innovation amongst young people across Europe.

Our Approach

Delivering the Think Big campaign site was both exciting and challenging for Byng. With the near launch of the Think Big portal the heat was on to fulfill Telefónica’s brief from concepts to live.

We worked closely with SomeOne/Else to advise and deliver on their creative ambitions. After 4 weeks, we ended up with a single page experience the translated the Think Big message to desktop and mobile in an engaging, fun and highly interactive way.

We ran the project in a very agile fashion getting designs quickly into the browser, so that the journey, interactions and interactivity could be tested without risking the delivery.

To create the parallax effect, we used Skrollr, a stand-alone parallax scrolling library for mobile (Android + iOS) and desktop. The library uses JavaScript only (no jQuery). This allowed us to create a lovely experience on tablet devices.

It was imperative to create a seamless experience in order to achieve the project objectives. We used Amazon CloudFront content delivery network to achieve low latency and high data transfer speeds - which was a must for a content heavy site like this.

Lead capture was made possible by an integration into Telefónica’s/Think Big’s CRM plaform.
