Spark is the leading energy supplier to tenants in the UK. Byng built their online presence and digital customer services.

Since 2010, Byng has been a lead technical supplier to Spark, delivering a successful digital transformation of their business. Byng is honoured to have the privilege of delivering a UK national utility company website.


Over the past four years, we have added value to Spark’s business by building their website which serves to market the business and provides business critical customer services such as account management, statements and bills, meter readings, online payments / direct debit, live chat and other admin functions.


Our Approach

The site has recently been rebuilt by Byng using a fresh and responsive web design by 999 Design (based in Glasgow). Spark has over 300,000 customers and is growing extremely fast. The success of the new site is demonstrated by the speed at which customers are switching to online.


The site has multiple integrations into industry specific back office software, such as Draig and Spice. We used Pimcore as the content management system for the marketing components of the site, because of its flexible architecture. We continue to extend Spark’s digital reach and scalability with new services.
