Byng developed Ballantine’s lead marketing site and an impressive digital service for their sponsored golf tournament
Working with Ballantine’s was a great experience. We delivered their corporate site back in 2012 and built a really impressive online service to support the Ballantine's Championship. Of course both were responsive.
In 2012 responsive web design was very much in it’s infancy. Byng built Ballantine's corporate site on a bespoke responsive framework. With a brand like Ballantine’s, it was imperative that we used a stable and enterprise friendly content management system to handle localisation and the complex workflows that Ballantine’s needed. We picked Pimcore.
In 2013, Ballantine’s reached out to our technical capabilities again to develop a digital service to support a major golf fixture - The Ballantine’s Championship’ - part of the European Golf Tournament. Byng built a responsive web app that provides rich and real time statistics (through a leaderboard), live tweets and photos through an immersive and engaging design (by Work Club). We used node.js to provide an efficient way of pulling the data. Content management was provided by Pimcore as well.

Ballantine's was one of the first responsive sites, built on a bespoke framework created by Byng for the project. We used Pimcore as CMS, given its enterprise features.
